The first details have emerged for "In a Mirror, Darkly (Pt 2)", the second part of the mirror universe story started in "In a Mirror, Darkly (Pt 1)", which opened with the first contact between Humans and Vulcans turning violent when a mob of humans attack their Vulcan visitors - an entirely different chain of events to those seen in the movie Star Trek: First Contact.
In the second part, according to a report at Trekweb, we encounter the mirror universe counterparts of the NX-01 crew. Lacking a command of his own here, Archer and his fellow cruel shipmates have captured a starship known as Defiant. This is believed to be the Federation starship lost in an interspatial rift in the Classic Star Trek episode "The Tholian Web" and fits with Manny Coto's comment yesterday that "a Constitution-class Federation starship" would make an appearance in the final episodes of the season. It is likely that replicas for the original series sets will be created for this episode.
After Archer and Mayweather torture an alien prisoner for information on a Gorn stowaway, they take the Defiant to rendezvous with another empire starship - the Avenger - whose science officer is a rather submissive "Lieutenant Commander Soval". Finally Archer pushes the Avenger's commanding officer for a battle field commission - it seems that Enterprise is commanded by "Captain Forest" in this universe, but its fate is currently unknown.
Please note that none of the above has been officially confirmed by Paramount or UPN and, until then, should be treated as rumour.
The original report is available at Trekweb.
