Official details for "Demons", the first episode in an earth bound, two part story, have been posted at startrek.com.

Enterprise has returned to earth to witness the historic talks aimed at the creation of a coalition of planets, when a xenophobic faction, lead by a man named Paxton, threatens to undermine the conference, according to the production report. Paxton follows of the ideals of Colonel Green, the leader of a genocidal war during the 21st century who was last seen in the Original Series episode "The Savage Curtain".

The Enterprise crew become aware of Paxton's group, known as "Terra Prime", after T'Pol is approached by a dying woman at the conference who tells her a startling secret.

One of the highlights of the episode is it's cast. Peter Weller, best known for the leading part in the Robocop films, has been cast Paxton while Sunnydale's former Mayor, turned giant Snake, Harry Groener has been cast as Nathan Samuels, the earth dignitary who's leading the talks. As well as his role in Buffy, Groener will be familiar to Trek fans as Tam Elbrum from The Next Generation's "Tin Man" and the Magistrate in Voyager "Sacred Ground".

The episode is written by showrunner Manny Coto and directed by Levar Burton. Burton also directed "The Augments", which featured fellow Next Generation actor Brent Spiner, earlier in the season.

The official synopsis is as follows:

A xenophobic faction of humanity threatens to undermine talks to form a new coalition of planets.
