Long term Star Trek insider Trekspy has told British magazine SFX that the Star Trek: Enterprise set are currently being saved and are under heavy guard, confirming recent reports from TrekUnited that the sets have been saved and are on "Fold and Hold" status.
"Nothing's too small," he said, "They've actually brought in cameras to watch everything. Set pieces and props are being saved, at least for now. There's a rumor that things might go up to Vancouver."
Many sci-fi and cult television shows currently film in the Canadian city, which is cheaper than filming in California, including Stargate: SG1 and its spin-off Atlantis and the new Battlestar: Galactica. However Trekspy says that there's no report of a new series, but if the deal was right it would probably be shot there.
He went on to say that former Mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani had visited the set in the final days and also commented on the rumors surrounding "These are the Voyages", the final episode written by series creators Rick Berman and Brannon Braga.
"Sirtis and Frakes were there," he confirmed, "I didn't see the script, but we shot them against a big green screen, which I guess was meant to be a holodeck background. They walked away from the green screen, as if they were emerging from a holodeck scene. I guess it was Troi and Riker returning to the Enterprise - the Next Generation Enterprise."
